BAULINE, MARCH 20, 2020 – In order to support the efforts to control the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Town of Bauline has made a decision to close all facilities to the public, including the Town Hall. We will continue to operate with a focus on providing core essential services to residents while protecting the health and safety of Town employees, Council and the Residents of Bauline.

Closures and cancellations include:

  • All Town facilities, including the Town Hall, are closed to the public;
  • All recreational programs, events, and rentals are cancelled until further notice;
  • The Town will maintain essential services of water testing, snow/ice control, garbage and recycling collection (as per the regular garbage schedule);
  • Council meetings will be closed to the public.

The Town of Bauline will extend the payment deadline of municipal taxes by one month to 30 April 2020.

The Bauline Town Council is closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are liaising with our regional Killick Coast neighbors and consulting with all levels of government to provide a coordinated response.

It is understood that these actions have an impact on the members of this community. Following the recommended guidance as set out by the Federal and Provincial government will slow down the spread of this virus and ensure that; all that can be done to protect our residents is being done. We ask that you check on your neighbors, family and friends (by phone, e-mail or text) to ensure they are ok and not in need. Please do your part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by practicing good hygiene habits including washing your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds; avoid touching your face and cover your cough with the bend of your elbow or a tissue. We encourage all residents to practice social distancing and avoid crowded places. If you fee unwell, please stay at home.
